Drew this during the culture fest at school, or at least drew it for 15 minutes until the passingby retards made me want to stop. Literally 15 of me drawing it, and having every other person ask "LOL DID YOUZ DRAW THAT?"
I could understand if it was just a pic sitting there but FUCKING HELL I DREW IT THAT'S WHY I'M DRAWING IT NOW.
I really like your style, as I've said many times now.
What I'm curious about is, how do you plan out your shoulders after you drew the neck? I can't seem to determine the right length for shoulders most of the time and it ends up being horrid.
Also, I need some tips on eye drawing. Your eyes look lively and it doesn't have the common mistake of being a bit too high on one side or too low on the other. what does your guidelines look like to determine your eye spacing?
Usually I determine the shoulder width and position based on the collarbone. I do the head, then from there the large muscles that run next to the collarbone. The collarbone is a great place to start for that since you can work out the arms, shoulders and the ribcage based on it's placement.
Eye spacing I just kinda learned through trial and error. Usually starts with me drawing the bottom of the eyes first, that way I can make them level and keep them symmetrical. As for the basic placement of them, it depends on the character. More moe characters have wider faces and lower eyes, and the serious ones are the opposite. Work both ways for guys too. Using the nose also really helps me see where the eyes need to be.
I know exactly how you'd feel. Yeah, I had nearly identical situations when I was attending to high school, damn, even in my art school xD
Uh, Fuuka, everything about you is so fine... Well, maybe excluding this shoulder but this is interesting thing when it comes to her image - there are two undetermined things, that are different even on original artworks made by Shigenori Soejima - her height and size of her bust. Her 3D model is rather small compared to other characters, she is a little taller than Ken, but not much; in the anime cutscenes she is as tall as other characters, well, in some of them at least. On the cover of Character Drama CD Vol.3 made also by Soejima she is almost as tall as Aigis, and she has bigger tits than usual. That's some useless knowledge, yeah? ^_^
I prefer short, shy and small-busted, adorable little Fuuka, just like you pictured her... =^__^= Well done!

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
